1989 609d Horse Box

I have just purchased a very nice 609D horse box for my wife to use. Two things I would like to improve are the gear lever knob insert showing gears (which is missing) and also I would like to replace the steering wheel (mid brown?) that has slight damage. Can anyone help with these bits? Does the steering wheel need a drag to get it off?
