1991 190E 1.8 help

I just recently bought this car. This is the first of many issues i will be posting on here, so lets start with the most serious. It stalls when i push the clutch and press the break to stop. no jerking motion, just dies. i was told it is the fuel filter, but i have no manual to check. the only manuals i seem to find for this car are all in german. please help!!!

still not finding a manual for a 1.8...it seems that this car was on the dump list when they made it...i ordered a cd containing all the manuals for mercedes e-class cars made between 82 and 93, but the one car that isn't on it is the one i have...thanks aviator, but i still can't seem to find it on that site.

You will find the manual in the technical section, it may not be you exact model but i have used it for my 190E 2l an find most things the same .

as long as the 2.0 is somewhat the same as the 1.8. i guess i'll be ok...i'll try it out, thanks
