320CE navy coupe 1995 3.2L
Hello, I have a Aug 1995 Mercedes 320CE Coupe in metallic navy/deep cream leather interior, it has an orthopedic air controlled drivers seat which i understand was an expensive option. i need advice on where to sell it, it has a beautifully smooth engine and up to two years ago i had it serviced by MB main dealer in Eastbourne.
I have had this beauty for over seven years of worry free motoring and can no longer afford to keep it.
At the moment it is having a new exhaust fitted and a new ovp unit, living by the coast has contributed to a scruffy body. it is very quiet and extraordinarily very fast. i bought it august 2006 with 131,000 miles on the clock and have only done 24,000 in seven years (used every day, only 1 mile to work!)

It needs someone to look after it, i simply cannot afford to get it up to spec as i am not very practical (lazy) having said that if i won the lottery i would keep it for the rest of my life, as i get such a feeling of fun and pride when i drive it.

The service manager at eastbourne MB gave me a brand new B class whilst it was in for service and MOT a couple of years ago and it took 4 days, when i phoned to ask what is taking so long the manager confessed to using my car as he enjoyed driving it so much. (bit annoyed at the time)

Do i sell it for scrap? (came close the other day) is anyone willing to take on a great car that needs cosmetic work? (runs fantastic)

I'm not looking for much, it also has a private plate (H3 MBR) which i'm told is worth about £500

Any suggestions other than the scrapyard? (would be a crime for a rare car) one of the last to be made and I'm informed les than 500 came into the UK (£56k new!)
Help!

Why would you scrap it? Just stick it in the classifieds!

By the way...nice advert for your car LOL! How much are you after?

Driving it 1 mile a day isn't exactly the best thing for an engine, even 2 miles if you drove it back!

I'm looking at £2000ish (inc £500 value plate) i need advice on value really, as i see prices are wildly variable, wish i could put it in a garage, put a blanket over it and forget it till my retirement. i KNOW they will be classics!

Scrap value is £160, a rough 124 coupe is £750 tops, £2k might be hard to get.

Plate is no way worth £500 unless someone waves the notes under your nose.

Value depends on what the body is like. At 150,000 miles its probably had its best years mechanically. How long is it MOT/ LICENCED for? Front wings are easily replaced rear wheel arches/sills /subframe mounts can be big money. Valuations seem about right. The ones fetching big money are genuine sub 80,000 miles with immaculate/ professionally rebuilt bodywork and 1/2 owner cars

No more than £1k....body work is fortunes to sort and a mint one will easily be much cheaper than rectifying a rough one....sorry!!
