1995 c180 elegance

my wifes car yesterday has developed a bit of hunting and some times stalling at idle and will not rev past 4000 whilst stationary I know that my jaguar has a restriction on the engine but has the older mercedes ?,and could this stalling be due to the fuel filter?

The hunting could be an air leak causing poor idle, they will not rev past 4k in N

My wife has just come back off hols and has had problems with stalling and re-starting when hot ,I have had a look for any air leaks etc and found none..any ideas ? (c180 elegance 1995)

68 in the link regeneration valve http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.as...417717.418&CT=F&cat=44V&SID=47&SGR=060&SGN=04 it looks like this you will feel it pulse when the engine is hot...if not pull the vac pipe of on the engine side & block it off at the throttle body & try it
