    A class
Hi I have a 2014 amg a class 2.1 with a host of problems has being ran in limp mode for must be 8 months with blocked dpf this has had various garages do forced regeneration on it ect also low boost pressure ... so again same fault so now I take it to a tunning company who say dpf is is past repair and has turned to gel so had it removed and mapped out ...now its still showing low boost and he has advised me the turbo actuator arm has broke and needs replacing but he says its a new turbo as its all connected to one another he's priced all parts from mb and to fit for £1900 . But I'm worried and don't want
to have any more problems so can I have some advice on people who are in the knowledge of these cars is what he's saying is this correct ..many thanks

Hang on .I think I have seen on here actuators can be repaired .and I deffo would not be replacing whole thing unless turbo was also goosed.
    Research mercedes turbo actuator repair
I just searched mercedes om651 turbo actuator repair ....not certain this yr eng ? But would give you idea ,a few vids pop up. My search came back in french .but you will get idea. If its just a broke rod from actuator to turbo , surely that can be fixed.?

Any garage who cut out a dpf and mapped out is a cr** garage and you need a garage with some dignity and diligence.

Actuators can be replaced only MB sell the entire unit with turbo.

    Again your garage is cluless.

    First step - decent indy.

Agree above, if a DPF is removed, MOT testers are wise to it now, even if the can is cut and welded, they look for it. Appears there have been a few court cases over it, hence the diligence.
Just remember that no DPF means no MOT which means no CAR

Regardless of the dpf removal debate, it was done to death here previous.

OP needs a decent garage and needs not being led along the garden path

Had anyone read the codes on the car??

A broken actuator would be worse than limp mode come to think of it. Snails pace.
