Just got her tonight,

noticed a couple of small things up with her.

1 - The folding mirror function - only the passenger side folds
2 - The windows, they judder a little when closing
3 - Lamp Out warning. One front fog and one rear don't work (My BMW did this and it ended up being a Lamp Control Module needing replaced)
4 - Steering, when turning at slow speeds there is a kindof squeak, almost sure that it's just the steering wheel rubbing against a part of the trim
5 - The side/headlight control seems a little flimsy

My questions are really these;

1 - I take it it's probably a motor that needs replacing on the drivers mirror? Is this common and where's the best place to have it looked at
2 - Passenger window is worse really, any ideas on this?
3 - If the fog light bulbs need replacing, will this be displayed on the dash?
4 - Anyone else notice this?
5 - Where's the best place for a replacement?

Thanks in advance. So far - really love the car. Having a new stereo unit, reversing camera and parrot bluetooth installed shortly!

1. Don't know, sorry. I should know but don't.
2. Try graphite rubbed from a soft pencil on the window seals. I think some people say talc.
3. Don't know again, but the rear fog bulb should be quite easy access to eliminate the bulb. The front bulb is a bit harder but on my 54 plate car you access via the panel provided in the front wheel arch/under the front bumper.
4. Yes my steering wheel rubs against the trim when maneuvering.
5 Now then, the light switch was reported on here just this week as being a problematic piece of kit on the CLK (certainly earlier CLKs). A search should find it. Quite a lot have left MB parts in Milton Keynes(?). Several hundred I seem to remember reading about.
Hope this helps, by the way your Aurora clip seems pretty good. Well done.

mirror! on the mirror the wire breaks on the bend, easy repair, and agree with David on the rest!

1. Just put a few drops of oil in the spindle, you need to push the mirror forward to access it.
2. Spray some silicon, you get this from Halfolds ~£5.
3. Yes, best is to disconnect and test it with avometer.
4. Drop a few drops of oil where it rubs.
5. Remove the steering cover, and tighten the bolts holding it to the steering column.
