Hi
Long time since my last post but fantastic advice last time.
My father in law has the above vehicle which from memory I think is a W204 version. He had some problems with it at the end of last year where the radiator had failed allowing fluid to mix with the oil and basically kill the gearbox and torque converter. Long story short he threatened the dealer with court action and they paid for a new gearbox, torque converter and radiator which was fitted by them.
The car has been fine for several months until recently when he has noticed more and more that the gearbox seems to be going in and out of gear when stationery. It's a very slight judder but definately the gearbox. When he accelarates the car sets off fine.
The car has now covered just over 30,000miles.
He has spoken with a friend who is a mercedes mechanic and he has basically told him some gearboxes do it and others don't. The father in law is concerned that something may be amiss!.
Any ideas?
