Hi,
Welcome to the club.
The AUX socket will be in the glove box if it's fitted. It may not be in which case it can be added, either by the dealer in exchange for one of you limbs, or by various after market folk.
Not sure about the MP3s. I haven't tried them in mine though as the manual doesn't mention it I suspect it doesn't play them. However, the price list for the E lists both compatible and non compatible units. As it doesn't seem to work I suspect thats your answer.

Command is really cool and £1250 is an excellent price. Actually too good so unless you know the supplier, I'd be suspicious. They generally run at double that. There is an earlier model but I thought the C coupe had the later model, are they quoting you for the correct unit?

Personally I didn't bother with command. Its a SatNav (I have Tomtom and rarely need that), plays DVDs (Never stationary long enough) and other than that, doesn't do anything my Audio 20 doesn't. The repair costs if it goes wrong can be scary too, so I avoided it. I did have the use of one for a couple of weeks and it does look good, but the novelty was already begining to wear off before I handed it back.
