It will be worth looking to see if a ATF change has been done if not factor one in. I cannot remember many 180K issues on here although there are quite a few issues with the 230K which may transfer over to the 180K. Check service history and that it has been looked after mileage shouldn't be an issue at all.

Watch for the 'Valeo Radiator Problem', which affected CLK's up to Sept 2003, maybe later if the car has been stored unsold when new. 54 plate 2004's should be fine.
