2006 B150 fuel guage stuck on empty

My wifes car was running low on juice the other day. Put approximately 3 gallons in and it's still showing empty after two days later. I'm assuming it's a faulty tank sender. Anyone know where to get access to this or any other diagnostic info

Not 100% sure but the fuel pump is accessed from underneath the car.

There's mention here that it's fixed itself after a few days, if that's of any help.

Fill up the tank and put a half bottle of RED X in i had the same problem stuck sender .It fixed mine .But only if your engine is petrol no mention of what it is in your post

Thanks guys, the following day I stuck another three gallons in and as Hustler says it fixed itself. Dreamer, yes its petrol, Ill certainly do that

The sender can sometimes jam when it gets to an absolute low.

so I'm right in re-filling to the top and refill again when the light comes on
