The boot on my E200 will not open using the electronic key, I have to use the "old fashioned key". There are also 3 messages on my dash about the rear plate lights and the centre brake light. Any help much appreciated please.

The boot spring on the nearside has eaten through the wiring harness to the boot by the sound of it, very common and cheap to repair if thats the case??
