2008 c200 cdi, won't start

sorry unrelated but any ideas on my problem, 2008 c200 cdi, won't start. no power when turning key, have tried jump leads to no gain. Steering lock won't disengage. Connectors? Any ideas?

Is this a late model W203 or early W204?

If its the W204 I would say the steering lock has failed and the EIS system is not reading the key, quite a common problem.

No start issue ok, if the battery is totally discharged/dead then using jump leads won't make a difference, check battery for servicebility, replace or trickle charge.
If it's a auto, did you turn it off in gear, remeber it won't start unless it's in park lol
