I am a mechanic but I am serching for an answer to my problem (your experience please!). I have a 1989 200diesel 4 cyl non-turbo W124. I have carried out a 3 year service, changing every fluid and filter. I renewed the accelerator cable (aduster broke). It runs very smooth but occassionaly at the traffic lights it starts chugging as if it's running on 3 cylinders. The vibration is quite harsh for an MB and reading another forum, I might check the engine mounts! i suspect the injectors to be at fault but at €94 each, i'm reluctant to fork out a lot of money to find I have not diagnosed the problem correctly?
