I am interested in a car for sale:
2017 220d Coupe AMG Prem 76k miles
FMBSH
1 Owner
21K asking price-looks a decent car !

High miles I know but the other half will only be doing circa 2k a year.
Given that the MB services should have covered most issues is there any other costly jobs that may be due on a car of this age that the MB service may not have addressed ?
Any advice would be welcome

If this is for your other half who will only be doing 2k miles a year, you would be better off looking at Petrol, will work out cheaper to run for that mileage without any diesel short journey issues that can crop up on any diesel car built in the last 9 years....

Wouldn't touch a Diesel for 2k a year, no end of problems with emissions system, DPF and AdBlue

I can thoroughly recommend the GLC. I’ve had mine for 5 years now. For the same reason as others, I wouldn’t touch a diesel unless you are going to do high miles to keep the Adblue system from clogging up, Doing 2k a year and you are asking for expensive problems.

I bought petrol in 2018 and there should be a lot of petrol cars from that sort of time. Good luck with the search,

I watched a video last night of a bloke who just buys cheap cars up to 5k but showed a 17 plate GLC 220d go through at 15.5k with a book price of around £18k clean. £21.250k retail. 55.000 miles Full clean bill on the auction listing. Said nobody is buying premium cars now.

As an add on to that I heard that JLR have said anything above 3k insurance to the broker and they would cover the rest just to sell cars.
