2019 Mercedes Vito 114 Tourer XLWB 2.1 Disel Automatic
HI,

I am having power loss issues when accelerating in my 2019 Mercedes Vito 114 2.1 diesel automatic. I first noticed the symptoms used to happen on a cold engine. it struggles to accelerate with normal power. After about 30 mins of driving, when the engine is warm, the issue seemed to go away.

1 week later, the issue happens on both cold and warm engine.

I am clearly having power loss issues, there is no EML light on the dash.

Any advice would highly be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Try find out if ur fuel press is in specc. Does it rev freely or is it restricted.

Hi mate,
Thanks for the reply.

What do you mean by fuel press in specc?

When the car is in park or neutral, it revs freely with no issues. As soon as you put it into gear, it doesn’t rev freely and lacks power on acceleration

There will be a rated min, max fuel press if its not in specc., cud be ur prob. However I am not convinced its not in limp mode. Have you looked for fault codes. Hate saying that. But that's the deal with this modern headaches. Wot max rpm on road at moment. Even if u floor pedal.?

Do you mean when fuelling up the tank with diesel?

No fault codes showing up and no lights on the dash unfortunately.

The max rpm is 2k when driving.

Could this be linked to the dpf filter being clogged up ?

What are you using to check codes. It seems ur motor is in limp mode, has the engine ecn been modified in any way.
You should have fault codes present if in limp mode if dpf clogged there will be code unless someone has deleted some software

Went a local garage and they used a normal diagnostic tool and no codes come up as there is no EML light on the van.

I had a stage 1 ecu remap done to the vehicle 2 months ago…

Maybe ur remap has confused ur ecm? Can you roll back remap look, clear noted codes if any and try again?
