210 e220cdi lumpy idle

any ideas on a 2001 e220 cdi idling unevenly.

the rev counter needle just twitches up and down slightely and if you stick your head under the bonnet you can hear it hunting faintly

hi there; I have the same problem with my 1999 w210 E220cdi as well.
The problem seems to be intermittent though and usualy worse when damp outside, although one mechanic said it could be down to a dripping injetor.
If you have any look sorting yours out please let me know before it shakes my car to bit's thanks.

This could be an injector leak off problem, you can hire the gear to do it.
