Hi there

My 1990 300CE, post major indy service at 106k, has developed a judder once warm, which is always there. The garage will be taking it for a day to see what they can find (won't be paying til they sort it...), but in the meantime, I wondered if anyone else has had the same thing..?

The rpm at warm idle is 600 (correct I believe), the judders hardly seem to change the rpm readout, but our physically noticeable. They replaced all the plugs and leads as part of the service, and replaced them again to see if that remedied it - but no!

Anyone know if the computer could be connected to all this..?

Thanks,
Dax[/b]

I have a similar problem, although it's not always there, and tends to be if it's sitting in traffic for a while.

Mine has 103k on it, although it's probably been "adjusted" from 300k or something!

I was considering changing the plugs and leads to get rid of it at the next service, but I might not now, seeing as it hasn't sorted it for you.

SAME AGAIN 106K AND THERE IT IS, THE FAMOUS 124 JUDDER!!!

i was told that it is caused by wear in the throttle body but who knows.
any-one with a cure would be a very popular fellow

Hi Ddaavvee, not sure, I'll have to find out.

Should it?

If it should, and it's failed, do you think the oil is getting too hot, and causing the problem?

Cheers,
G. :D

124 judder

i've got a 150,000 300te 4matic, I have had it few months and I think it runs better on 98 RON than 95RON petrol I am told by my brother who runs a race prept car that modern petrol is of very variable quality , he uses octane booster and has some other diy additives which I now cant remember up his sleeve
if I look in the owners hand book for my car it specifies 98 RON for the 230 TE but not my car
what do you think guys?
