Help me please..!

I have a 1988 300E W124.
It has a squeaky fan that I know a little TLC or WD40 would sort..
The trouble is.., how do I get to it!??

Under the bonnet I have three plastic cases. The middle one lifts off and has two holes underneath, but nothing else.
The more interesting side ones seem to be plastic rivetted down or something.
Any ideas. :?:

I have an MB CD, but it doesn't show what to do. :(

do you really want to know?

it'shiding underneath the wiper assmbly which you need to remove to get at it and that involves removing all of the trim which surrounds the wiper motor.

Remove the blade first then with the bonnet in the upright position start removing everything (rubber strips, covers, insulation, vent covers and housings) take photographs so you know how to put it all back together and make a not where all the screws and clips went. Once you've got through that lot you can unbolt the wiper motor (if memory serves me correctly there is also a retaining clip underneath) and lift it out to expose the heater blower which is held in with a few bolts
