300td auto box

Can Any body help , i have just got a 92 300td with a auto box . i love the way it drives but at low speeds the gear change in not very smooth,if it was a manual gear box you could say that the clutch had been let out too fast ,its that sot of feeling. I have checked the gear box oil level and that seems ok at first glance.

Hello and welcome, your fault could be a vacuum problem, pipe off or leaking,thei is the normal cause of hard shifts in the 722.4 boxes.

As Malcolm says it is likely a vacuum problem. Does your central locking work?

Check the pipes going to the proportioning valve on the side of the injection pump.
