What is the correct grade plug for my 88 300TE M103? Haynes quote a Champion S10YCC - my local shop have given me NGK BF6EP on one occasion and BF5EP on another. Euro Car Parts quote Beru or Bosch H8DCO. Which NGK grade is correct and will it cause a problem if I use the other? Are the Champion and Beru grades compatible?

Many thanks

Very confused Martin

All I can say is play it safe - why not get the Bosch H8DC from German Swedish and French (www.gsf.com) - at 85 pence each it's not worth quibbling.

My 300TE (87 model) had incorrectly fitted H5DC plugs when I bought it and it fouled them up to the point where I had about 30% power and terrible rough running. With the H8DCs it purrs and I feel like there is about another 100 BHP available.

If you cannot be sure that the plugs you are getting are correct don't get them.
