I am trying to work out the correct tyre pressures for my 311 CDI using the info in the operating instruction manual.
The van weighs 2880 kg when loaded (its converted to a motor caravan) and it has 4 x 225/70R tyres fitted.
Assuming the load is split 50/50 between the front and rear axles (but I doubt it), ie 1440 Kg per axle, the manual recommends 2.5 bar for comfort.
This is 36.25 PSI:???: which virtually lowers the wheel onto the rims:???:
This is obviously not right, so what pressure is? I'm obviously missing something here. I am currently running with 58 PSI in each tyre, purely and simply because thats what it came with and it "looks right"
