Hi Can anyone help. My 312d has developed a strange fault. It drives fine most of the time but when re applying the thrittle after slowing down at junctions etc it seems as if the engine cuts out for a short time before jumping back to life. It sometimes does this when idling too but just seems to be coffing and spluttering then agian just gets over the problem. When in this state it throwns out lots of white smoke. It does not matter if the engine is at opperating temp or just started, the fault seems the same whenever it decides to do it. After arriving home yesterday the van was parked on my drive for about 20 mins. I went out to start it to go to the shops and it started straight away but then sounded as if it was running on 3 cylinders or something. It did this for about 30 seconds, by this time it looked as if someone had let off a smoke bomb. Then just like that ot cleared and i drove it away like nothing had happened. Due to the nature and times that the fault occurs it can a handfull, especially if your half way around the corner and the power steering drops out cos the engines stalled.Any info would be appreciated.cheers
