Hi all,

We've entered the plymouth-banjul challenge and will not be needing the aircon.

If I remove the compressor will there be any oil leakage or is it just bolted onto the engines outer case?

You would need a different length drivebelt, probably worth measuring the length without the aircon compressor with a piece of string to help you size the replacement.

Good Luck,

Richard

Thanks for the info Nicky / Richard.

I'll take it off this week and chuck it on ebay - money will go towards Cancer Research UK.

Time for a silly question, but there's no chance that would fit my 1991 300Se would it?

We'll I took the belt off and left it at that so that the new owner can use it - if they can get it charged in the gambia!
