380 SEC AMG?

Did AMG customize any 380 SEC's?

If they did, did they do anything regarding power and not just body panels?

HI Francois,

Yes, AMG did customize 380's but as AMG were not part of MB at that time, whether or not the engine was customized would depend on what the owner of the car specified. The owner may just have specified body kit and suspension, leaving engine original.

AMG became part of MB in 1991 and that's when there badge changed from 'AMG' to '////AMG'.

How is it going with the high idle prob ?

The high idle is still not fixed. I am waiting for parts from overseas. As soon as those arrice I'll let you know if it worked or not.

Only one of the parts are actually for the engine, (thermo time switch), the other is a new duo valve. Having hot air blowen into the car in summer when it is between 30 and 40 deg C outside is not fun!

If the time switch does not cure the problem, then I shall take it to a specialist not far from my house. I only recently noticed the shop, so I'll give them a shout.
