500 SEC - Servicing & general maintenance

Hi,

I've just bought a 500 SEC and am looking at sorting out an independant to go to when I need Servicing & general maintenance. The car has just had a service by an independant who the dealer uses so it shouldn't need anything for the next few months ( hopefully...).

I live in the Cotswold and work in Swindon. After searching through the various threads in ths forum the local independants appear to be:-

GT Autos in Bisley
Robin Lamb - Gloucester
Hansa - Chetenham
Stuttgart - In deepest South Wales.
and an Independant in Lydiard Millicent near Swindon.

The other option is to take it to an independant called SEC-SHOP who appear to specialise in 500 SEC's. This has a certain appeal as I currently take my 928 to a 928 specialist in Stroud, called Paul Anderson. As he does nothing else except 928's he knows them inside out and does a fantastic job.

Does anyone have any experience of the SEC-SHOP outfit or any comments or recommendations on the local guys.

I called them looking for advice re changing the water pump on my SEC. Even though they knew they would get no business from me on this occassion they still gave me invaluable advice. I think this shows a great affinity for the SEC and anyone who owns one. JB
