Black one says its a kit and expect to spend £1500 and the rest.

The classified's are all rather exhorbitantly priced by optimists. The green one has issues. List too long, got bored reading. Idle Control Valve sounds fault but if its Idle Control Unit then this costs hundreds for a new one. The Cruise control also going haywire can be a worry.

Rust under rear parcel shelf is a killer and poor engine performance spells expense. I sold my 500SEC for £800 having spent £600 on a S/s exhaust system. There were better examples around.

2cnd one looks nice (with the wooden steering wheel)but from the pics its out in the sticks somwhere? Could have hidden rust-bodywork probs if not been garaged ?
+Does not seem to have much s/h in the paperwork picture ?
Needs to be seen driven and carefully checked before bidding.

Just had another look --if you enlarge the pictures--it sure looks nice --I reckon allow for another maybe 1K to bring it back to good running order and its still cheap for a supercar ( which as you know it is )
Whats putting people off I reckon and the low price --The insurance would be high -- not many miles to the gallon and a service at MB would cost what you payed for it !- as would any big mechanical probs-- If you can afford 2k for a toy to play with and service yourself and expect to write it off if it breaks big time-then its a brilliant buy--there again they are built like tanks and it could easily last another 10 years or more?

not sure which car you mean why not put the reference number on your thread.
One part never mentioned and unseen is the bottom of the doors which usually rot away owing to very poor window seal system. Look out for rust on door sills.
leaks into boot are not uncommon under the side panels and I even had a leak into rear passenger footwell which I could not trace the source.

If the car is not MOT's then I'd walk away. Nice Car, but need muscles like popeye to open and close door.
