Have just located a W126 560 SEL that I intend to buy. Have had a search on the forum and found out a few things to be aware of. I read about a starting problem, but couldn't find the actual reason for it so perhaps someone could enlighten me? Does anybody run one of these who can give me some day to day experience?:?:

Hi Stumpy, with one of these cars as long as the relays are all soldered up and fuse holders clean the are very good, often the fuel pumps have never been changed but they are easy to fix

Not yet. The car currently resides many miles from my home, so I need to get it picked up and then buffed nicely before revealing it to the world. Suffice to say, I am quite excited about it.

Too early for ASR 2. Probably wont have ASR at all:twisted:

I have been helping out a guy elsewhere with a 1987 car and ASR1 ASR 11 came in about 92 if my memory is correct.

I got egg on my face when I too said that it was not fitted

its 690 in the link

Its a Navy '96 Turbo RL with cream interior, one titled owner and full Jack Barclay history. He or she (don't know the gender yet) is the flagship of my chauffer car business. The car was about 170k new, and I paid rather less than that............:)
