Yes I thought it was the belt, I took it off but the noise stayed the same! Could it be something to do with the injectors or the pump? There is definitely an internal engine fault there. Does it make this noise without the belt installed?

When it's running, it does sound the manifold gasket is leakingI’d say you have a blowing gasket somewhere on the exhaust manifold side, probably between the cylinder head and the exhaust manifold
I doubt it. Where is the smoke coming from? Is it from between the turbo and downpipe or between the cylinder head and the exhaust manifold? Usually it will leaks at the downpipe but the speed with which is starts cranking doesn't sound great. Is there any metal shavings in the oil I t
I thought I saw some when my friend changed the oil, is that a sign for something went horribly wrong like the crankshaft or something?I doubt it. Where is the smoke coming from? This. ^I’d say you have a blowing gasket somewhere on the exhaust manifold side, probably between the cylinder head and the exhaust manifold
Update: changed the oil and filter today again, started the engine it sounded better but unfortunately when it got up to temperature it started to knock very loud, My mechanic friend said it will need a new big end bearing or even a new crankshaft!
My question is can these engine get stripped down where it stand or the engine needs to come out on one piece and get fixed outside of the car?!
Thanks
