After rummaging around in some of those cupboards in the house (where angels fear to tread !!) I found the above phone and thought that looks like it will fit into the cradle in the armrest of the car, it did, but now all |I get is a message saying "Tel Initialising" on the command screen.

I have checked the cradle and the phone charges up in it but doesnt want to connect to the command unit, there also doesnt seem to be any cables from the cradle going into any part of the car, but I cant understand why the phone charges if this is not the case, any ideas anyone ?

On the back of the phone, is there a rubber bung? if there is, it needs to be removed.

On the 2002 model the Nokia 6210 comes as standard. Although the 6310i uses the same cradle you need to replace the PSE, phone controller, to be able to use this phone. The PSE is located under the passenger seat.

Anyone can take their 6310i and have the software upgraded to 5.5 and cradles are on Ebay circa £30

Correct, but still wont work with the 6210 PSE unit:(

Well my 2002 car will take will take the 6150,6210 and the 6310i the only part that had to be changed on my car was the cradle, for which there is a modified one, this is a listed fault within WIS and nothing else to change. the controller stays the same
