722.6 issue

Just bought a used 722.6 Transmission but it wont shift to gears 4 and 5 and actually, I found chunks of bronze metal pieces in the tranny when changing the ATF and also when shifting to 1,2,3 gears a click sound in heard. could it be that its a bad transmission or can a computer solve the issue.

I doubt the computer can solve for missing lumps of metal!!!
