i had a oil leak a year ago wich i fixed but ever since my car has been flaring like 1-200rpm in a few gears and some bump gearing/harsh gearing. probably like only 20-30% of the gearing i would say is like perfect. (or at least what i think is perfect as this is my first automatic) could these colorizasions be the cause? oil level is good and its new oil and filter. also did sonnax kit and new electro plate with speed sensor.
the color is almost like very old soda stain but really hard to get off. havnt tried anything other that my finger yet as idk if its supposed to be like this.

Does the gearbox control unit (TCU) have any stored codes ? with those symptoms I would expect it to.

this is bad ownership by me but i havnt checked yet. but that said i was going to but the guy i talked to who workes on a mb shop said he dont expect any codes. he expect more of a mechanical fail since it was more than norma amount of partikles in the oil. but i will have him read coden once i get money. just started a new job so paycheck is still 3 weeks waiting.

If your planning on keeping the car it may worth investing in an I Carsoft MB2 they are a really useful bit of kit, can be a massive help with problems such as yours.

Clearing historic gearbox codes can make a difference.
