Good morning, I'm having the car serviced on Tuesday and as the mileage is 215,000 want the atf changed. The local indie has told me there is NO NEED to drain the torque converter. doesn't the T converter hold half the fluid? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated, thanks. BTW I've only had the car 2 months and can't find out when the Atf was last changed.

Hi,
I would want the torque converter drained as well, as you want as much of the auto fluid to be removed as possible, after all it is only a matter of undoing a bolt to drain it as far as i,m aware.
