First post here, sorry its about a problem.
I have a 1993 E320 98K on the clock with the 5 speed auto and it doesn't seem quite right...
When setting off it changes all the way to 4th by about 30mph and then won't change down unless I stop. Kickdown dosn't work either and it never seems to go into 5th as well. Changing gears manually it works fine with smooth changes and no slipping so I suspect electronics rather than anything mechanical. Could this be the dreaded bio-degradable wiring loom problem? or hopefully something a bit cheaper to fix.
Any ideas gratefully received.
