The Regassing 'gas' already contains the oil to lubricate the a/c. So every time you have a regass done, the a/c oil gets done.

All depends how it have been done in the past, a number of the home gas’s top up things have no oil in, the only way to really do it properly is to have the system sucked out , measure the quantity of oil removed, check the quantity again the manufacturer and then refill with the correct amount of gas and oil

Every 5 years or so , they can loose 10% a year ?? I take it you mean the oil that added with the aircon gas ?
I was having a close look at the compressor and it seems there is a tiny black filter catridge sitting on top?

I think that's a dryer to dry the air that passes through the compressor
It looks similar to a oil filter, black, the type you chuck, although a young one.You have cleared that one up.Appreciate the interest.
