A140, S AND W Mode. Does W Mode Start In Second Gear.

Hi,

I have been told that W mode when driven always engages in 2nd gear is that correct? If thats the case My A class doesnt actually do that. it uses first always regardless of what mode it has been put in. Could that be a faulty switch anyway how I can test it out? How much to fix this sort of problem?

its a 2000 W plate A140, i'm having several problems with it. high revs in first gear (when moving off) someone said about torque converter..having that disabled will that cause any harm?

I was looking up your fault and the slipping in first is a known fault

The K1 lamella clutch need to be replaced the support plate is torn through pressure surges.

It looks to be a hard job
