Hi

First time post here so I'll be as descriptive as possible;

I seem to have an intermittent issue with my A170 CDI in that when I start it up everything ticks over fine, then 5 to 6 times out of 10 the engine then changes its tune to a more louder and and what feels like a washing machine kind of sound and feeling! I thought of the obvious and took it to Mercedes where I purchased and I got the technician to have a listen and he thinks it might be an injector or seal on the injector and was saying its either going to be £15 + labour (£300-400) for a seal or £600 ish inc labour for new injector and I wont then say how much worst case scenario is for all 4! After doing a little search but not know what I was looking for I came across 1 or 2 posts suggesting that there is a way of diagnosing through the ECU as this controls in the valve on the injector?? Is this at all possible and is there anything that I could be missing. I want to try and understand the problem with it first before I take it in

I would be greatful for any feedback but if you have any further questions please let me know and I will amswer as best I can :)

Thankyou!
