A180 cdi w176 intake air temp fault

I'm getting the following faults pop up :

OBDII: Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor 2 - circuit malfunction

Have cleared and it comes back within a day.

Is there an intake sensor 2 on these? I can't find for this engine any reference to one.
Anyone know where it is or if its integrated with another sensor such as maf?
Callercedes parts and they were unhelpful.

It's 1.5 CDI A 180 w176 chassis.

Same issue here I had cam shaft intake sensor failure on same model looking for any help

The MAF generally monitors air intake temperature, not sure about your specific vehicle though.. Take it off and clean it.

Some OBD readers just generate generic codes.

What year /mileage is your car ?

It's 2017 with 25000 miles.

It was more the fact the fault logged as sensor 2. Some of the old mercs used to have a seperate sensor for intake but this doesn't.

I'll clean it anyway and keep an eye on it. If it is faulty I want to make sure I'm replacing the right part as they aren't cheap.

Hi RmR and Misterdog, have you solved your error code problem and is it Intake Air Sensor 2 faulty or something else? I have same error code P009564 for my A180. Appreciate if you could share some info of your solution. Many thanks.
