Last night when driving home, I felt that my E320CDI (W210) felt a little underpowered, so I floored it to check whether it was accelerating properly - Yes the car did accelerate properly, but to my horror the accelerator jamed down onto the floor (on an A road) as you can imagine the car was gathering speed at a pretty rapid rate, luckily the brakes slowed the car down properly, and I managed to lever the accelerator up with my foot. Subsequently it has been fine, much as I have tried I cannot replicate the problem, the accelerator appears to be free, it is not sticky, and nothing inside the car seems to catch on the peddle. Anyone got any ideas?
