Adblue System Fault

I got 2013 Mercedes E350 had problem with its Nox sensors got them replaced. Got message on dashboard Adblue engine won’t start after 340 miles. Filled Adblue but still got the error. Got it diagnosed and got these error codes local garage told that I need to change Adblue tank. Any ideas what could be the problem and do I need to change the Adblue tank or there is any other solution? Adblue tank price £1500 quoted by Mercedes.

hi, i think this refers to the adblue pump or def , you just change the pump and not the tank i have been told.

did not realise the tank heater is seperate from the pump, thats a lot of money for sure, i know the adblue can be deleted from the system.

I been told I can’t get pump separate I need to buy the whole tank that comes with pump.

That’s what I thought but apparently they come together. About deleting the Adblue was told it make the car illegal on road. Adblue can only be removed if using car for off road.

Until this stuff adblue ,nox,egr, becomes sensibly priced plenty will look at delete ,incl me.buy tank to get pump !!! ,nox sensors a grand egr without overload ? To stop motor ,circuit damage flaps in a filthy environment with no means to clean,maintain.the blockages that occur in the manifold are somethin to see and just shxxe design simples.

Haveing just replaced 2 nox sensors it looks like this will be next for mine, ohh cant wait.

Not something new. The screen wash pump on the Seciento that Emily had only came with a tank .... Fiat wanted over £100

Understood but the costs seem like they are just plucked out of the sky. Cos they can. If it was reasonably priced. Delete would be less popular.

Sorry to hear of your woes what’s the mileage on the car?

Hi the mileage is 195000, car was perfectly fine before the COVID. It’s was parked for nearly 6 months only journeys were to the local supermarket. One of my friends got same issue car was parked for 6 months and now it need new nox sensors. It seems like diesel cars can’t be parked for long.

There is an argument that the urea may crystallise in the tank if left for long periods your experience adds weight to the theory unfortunately
