up until 4 years ago, i drove a 1995 e300d auto. although it was an old and dated car, i really loved driving it and working on it.
since then and for various reasons, i have been driving other makes and i now feel like buying an old merc again.
i do not have much of a budget - hopefully around £1500 and would welcome any suggestions or advice on recommendations. i have looked at autotrader, gumtree and some other sites and vehicles are available from £600 upwards.
i only work 10 miles from home so fuel economy is not paramount.
but it must be diesel, automatic and have remote central locking and cruise control.
