Advice Please

I have a C220 CDi saloon, 04
I need to top up the engine oil before its first service.
What oil will Mercedes have used and what would be a recommendation for topping up.

why are you topping it up before its first service? or is the service miles away?

if you got it new, the dealer will tell you whats in it. or if you booked it in for a service, whoever services it will tell you what they use and you can get some of that!

or do a search on this site for "oil" or look for "oilman" posts. he has an idea about oils and what uses what.

why are you topping it up before its first service?

Presume to extend the service interval. The oil quality sensor will tell assyst the quality of the oil, and in turn, extend service period

Castrol brand seems to be used by MB, but check the article by 'oilman', as Joe mentioned above
