Alarm/central locking question

Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone has had the same problem as me with the central locking/alarm
When i unlock the car i need to wait a few seconds for the car to unlock and for the hazards to flash to say its open, if i open the door before it has fully finished its sequence the hazards start to flash and the car immobilizer cuts in (red and green flashing lights on mirror) I then need to lock the car (remote) and unlock it again this time waiting for the hazards to flash and finish the opening fully.

It is only a few seconds but means that you can not open the car and jump in

Keyfob batts seem to be good (good strong red light at keyfob)

All the best,

I would have said that on either the drivers door or passenger door the locking mechanism is becoming to stiff, and we have this before just recently on a 140.

I would take the door cards of and spray some PTFE all over the locks on the inside

Malcolm
Please could you send me the door card removal instructions for W140 and W124 as I want to oil and replace a couple of door straps (graunching noise) and also look at replacing the rubber trims either side of the glass as they are now hard and scratching the glass.
