Alternator

Hi hope everyone is well

Right I have a Mercedes ml350 diesel 10 reg
The alternator has stopped charging
I believe there is some kind of module on the back of the alternator
That may be causing the issue
Is there anyway I can confirm
This and is there anyway I can find out
Which is causing the problem

Regulator pack

I’d take the alternator off and get it refurbished- they’ll change bearings, regulator pack and check it all works.

Indie charged me £150 for exactly this- a relative bargain I thought.

I did mine a while back on w208 cost me 90 quid for bits, so not much in it, bearings reg and diode pack.

Alternators are very simple devices in the grand scheme of things, a refurb all the way.
