Anxious SL 500 buyer.

I am considering a 1999 SL 500 with the 113 engine.
I have been terrified by all the talk on these forums of frequent and expensive problems with the SL 500s. However most cars referred to seem to be in the early to mid 1990s and would have the 119 engine.
DO you think the problems have beem overstated and does the 113 engine have less problems.

The 113 is bullet proof in my opinion, less powerfull than the 119, but better economy and more releaible, i dont think you will get to much trouble with a 1999, I would go for one if you can.
