Hi friends,

I bought a set benz star C4 from this website:
http://www.plusobd.com/mercedes-benz-star-compact-4-sd-connect-hardware-with-laptop-dell-d630.html.

The quality is good. But now i get a problem when running the software. After i connect internet with this laptop, the xentry will need register again. every time the same. I should say, the technician from them are patient, they do remote control for me. and advice me to surf internet with other laptop, not this one so often.

Any better ideas about this problem.
Many thanks.

It's odd if the seller cannot fix their own problems. Sometimes they may have some special extra protection about license keys to make user self-renewal of the license more difficult, but if they are now connecting to computer and entering license key themselves they should know their own tricks...

Otherwise I would say the folder where key is saved, is just write protected (happened to me). Simply change folder options in windows to full access.

Naturally they don't want you connect to internet, your (clone) star may be trying to connect real MB HQ server all the time... That's the reason I never connect mine, I don't want my system announcing loudly where it is and what it is.

Yes, I kind of agree with mersum1es, above, but if you want fix your issue you need to make the files in folder "LicDir2" read only.
