i do, but what would you buy a car i recommended????

I'm a bit closer than you, (in Leeds at the mo) but I don't know my apex from my base on 450SLCs, aside from having been in one. The last car I personally chose rotted away before my very eyes 5 mins after I bought it. After that, I've left them all to my brothers and their mates, and they come up trumps, but they can't get to yorkshire. and I've never sold one yet, preferring to scrap them or give them away for parts. Am I really a help or a hindrance?

Im also in Leeds, but I'm not qualified to give you an appraisal either. At the end of the day, if it is as described, then the bid stands and you know what you're buying, if not, you don't have to pay, so worth a punt.

i had a bit more of a nosey at the description. it seems to be a bit on the buggered side to me. how much will it be worth if it was a runner?

i do think a car needing an MOT is buggered tho so maybe i am not the right person for advice on that car. interesting to see what happend with it tho.

Can you sort all the issues it has? You would have thought that if the owner went to all the trouble to get the parts, disassemble it, then put it ebay and volunteer to deliver it to the new buyer, he may as well have put it into road worthy condition and try off loading at above market prices? not sure if i am suspicious of motives there! He happily blames the wife for getting him to buy an SL as an excuse. I have blamed my wife for the slates coming off my roof in the winds in January. I have not let the fact we were divorced in '95 get in the way tho. And i shall charge her the excess from the insurance should I ever be unlucky enough to bump into again. Oh yes..every penny she said......haha
