Anyone removed an A class gearbox ?

The diff is noisy in our A170, it sounds like a driveshaft/CV joint type noise but it's definately from the gearbox. I'm gonna drop out the gearbox/diff unit and get it re-built with new bearings and anything else it needs. Just wondered if anyone has removed an A class gearbox before ?

Anything to be aware of ?

Any problems ?

Any special tools, except Torx sockets ?

I plan to do it in the garage at home, on ramps, Boy am I gonna have an exciting few nights !!

Any advice welcome
