Just covered back of car with gear oil so I think it is time to replace the oil seal on the diff pinion on my 124 250td estate with asd. any ideas, is it difficult, can I do it without removeing from car etc.?

You can do it by undoing the prop, then the flange coupling and then change the seal 146

nose end seals arent usually bad to replace however it depends whether the seal is leaking due to age/wear or whether there is bearing play which has caused it in which case remedy could be more complicated
