When pulling away from a standing start up to about 40mph, the car seems to end up in 4th far too quickly. The engine sounds like its labouring a bit. Consequently when trying to accelerate from 30 upwards the economy needle is all the way in the red, yet moving the stick to 3rd, or using the kickdown stops this, also giving better accelration. This happens in both S & E settings on the box. I dont think there is anything wrong with it, as the changes are perfectly smooth and you can hardly feel them. I was wondering if there was any adjustment than can be made?
