Automatic Transmission Oil Additives

Hello:

Any opinions/experiences of Automatic Transmission Oil Additives which
supposedly clean/smooth the valves and the transmission? Do they really
work like they claim or just a marketting gimmick which we pay for?

Modern engine oils make additives obsolete.
